postage table

Here is a table I picked up a few weeks ago...it was waiting in the garage with all my other JUNK, errr, I mean stuff, that I needed for my projects. When I started it I got so INSPIRED..:) that I forgot to take the BEFORE picture. It was just a plain oak table. The top had previously had little spindles around the top but those were gone when I bought it at Goodwill, so I just used wood filler and primed the heck out of the table.
Once it was done being primed I painted it in a satin gray paint.

Then I went to my trusty GRAPHICS FAIRY and got the fabulous postage graphic.

I used transfer to get the image onto the table, and then painted it on.

Then I distressed and lacquered the table.

I just love how it turned out.
