Hello my BEAUTIES!  I hope you had a wonderful long weekend.
We had a fun one with Family Celebrating Memorial Day, so we
were pretty much busy the whole weekend.
Luckily earlier in the week I had pulled off a makeover
so I was able to have a post for you today.

Now I don't know if you remember this dresser but my niece had gotten it
out of a repossessed  house. It was going to be trashed.
We were suppose to work on it for the Nature Center to donate,
but just putting humpty dumpty back together again would have taken us a whole weekend.
So I traded her a dresser I already had and she gave me this one.
You can see that makeover with Our TREE OF LIFE painting on it HERE
I was right too...It took me 2 days of gluing and screwing to get this dresser back in shape.

Once the hard part was done, the fun and easy job of painting was upon me.
I mixed up a custom color of a light blue green and painted the
base of the dresser

Then using darker to lighter shades of the same color I did a little bit of an OMBRE effect on the drawers. I didn't want it to be a perfect transition of different colors but kind of a wave of color washing up from the bottom to the top.

I then got to use the new knobs I bought to go on the dresser and gave it a good distressing, making sure the old black still showed through. I loved the contrast of the black to the blue.

I  turned out better than I could have imagined from what it looked (and smelled ) like when I got it. :)

Now this thrown out broken smelly dresser has turned into a BEAUTY QUEEN.
I hope you enjoyed this makeover.
